Biotechnology Engineering is a subset of CHEMICAL ENGINEERING. The course include research, study, and development of cell functions, micro-organism and bio-organism in living beings. Biotechnology covers various filed like disease research, agriculture, energy production,fertilizers, eco-conservation, animal husbandry and vaccines. The programme focuses on areas like drug designing, GM products and Enzymology. They are involved in industrial processes such as the development of new preservative and the production of new chemicals that can be used for food storage.
